The new set mechanic created for Seasons of War is Mother Nature and take the season. The Mother Nature creature token is shown here, which gives you life and mana on each of your main phases. However, if an opponent destroys or exiles Mother Nature, then they get a Mother Nature token! In this way, Mother Nature works kind of like the initiative, except you need to remove a creature instead of dealing combat damage to get it. In order to get a Mother Nature token on the board in the first place, you need to play a card that takes the season. The rules text of take the season reads: If there are no tokens on the battlefield named Mother Nature, create a Mother Nature creature token. Otherwise, if an opponent controls a token named Mother Nature, exile all tokens named Mother Nature.
The set as a whole has a token theme, with each faction creating a unique token. Spring and Autumn create tokens that have already been seen in Magic; creating Bear and Food tokens, respectively. Summer and Winter create two new tokens, Cloud and Frozen Over tokens. These new tokens can be seen at the top of the All Cards, Summer, and Winter pages.
Seasons of War is the first full set I've ever made and is designed for Commander Draft. However, I was originally designing it for Standard before pivoting to Commander Draft, so there's likely some awkwardness and balancing issues. With the tests I've done and other players I've spoken to so far, I'm happy with the current balance of the set and cards overall, but I'd be more than happy to get feedback and constructive criticism on my designs! Since I pivoted to Commander Draft part way into the making of the set, there wasn't a high enough density of multicolor legendary creatures for players to be able to reasonably draft a commander. To offset this, I've chosen a number of multicolor legends to "reprint". These legends aren't technically part of the main set, but can appear in draft boosters.
Below are links to all the cards as well as the cards in each individual faction. All the regular reprints and multicolor legend reprints are in the page with all the cards.
